Santa Rosa National Park

Located in the Norther side of Guanacaste, it was created in 1971 to commemorate and preserve the historic mansion and corrals of stone walls where the Battle of Santa Rosa took place (March 20, 1856). Also, it serves as protection for the dry tropical forest, pastures, mangroves and abundant wildlife, which includes some endangered species. It also has very beautiful beaches, including Playa Naranjo and the well-known Roca Bruja.
