Liberia, 23 de diciembre de 2018. Canadian airline Sunwing started operations between Vancouver International Airport and Daniel Oduber International in Liberia. It is the third new high season flight that the city of Liberia receives on a weekly basis as of this Sunday.
Sunwing operates based in Toronto, Canada, initially the airline is scheduled to operate until March 31, 2019, this following the high season in the country.

Direct flights between Costa Rica and Canada were launched since 2012 after the signing of the air transport agreement to open the door to commercial flights between both countries, without touching US soil.
For the Costa Rican Tourism Institute, this flight also benefits the economy of hundreds of Guanacaste families that are positively impacted by the increase of tourists in high season.
“We are pleased to receive the first flight of the company Sunwing on the Vancouver-Liberia route and expand the possibilities of tourism growth in Guanacaste, with flights and aeronautical technology that allows us to reach new destinations. We continue working to strengthen the national tourism industry, which generates 8.2% of the Gross Domestic Product, “said Maria Amalia Revelo, Minister of Tourism.
Flight WG129 will operate every Sunday until the end of March with a Boeing 737 MAX.
